To My Brothers,

Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice. Your courage and love is unstoppable, your example shining against the harsh sun of social stigma.

Powerful.

Remember, as you are not super human, self care, self love, and afternoon naps, Monday - Thursday, wink

Sam

Today,

Oprah interviewed Tyler Perry about his sexual abuse and physical abuse by his father. I admired his courage and the clarity of the presentation. It was a good presentation. I recommend all of you watch it online if you haven't seen it yet.

Oprah is building up to the interview with male survivors. She announced it for November 5. She asked to have a wide audience for this. That would be really good. She said that the audience would be full of survivors (from MS and other sources). She said that some of them would come forward to give their story. That will be our guys. Cheers!!!

This one hits very close to home for me:

http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/The-16-Year-Old-Boy-Who-Killed-His-Molester/1

The story with my second perp ran a very similar course and after he molested me in my sleep if FREAKED out at him. Damn, this crap is messed up!

Too all who where there - I applaud you for your bravery - we are trully taking a stand and making a public statement that abused boys/men will not be pushed aside and kept in the darkness anymore - we are standing strong to shed light on something that has been kept in the dark for wayyy too many years - it was an honor to be there with all of you - you could feel the strength in the room - we are SURVIVORS!!!

I was an amazing experience to be a part of such a ground breaking show. Being there with Oprah and Tylor Perry was awe inspiring and their speaking out about this horrible epidemic in this country will raise so much awareness. Very powerful!
I want to personally thank everyone who was there with me!
If you were on the show write me at : please contact user via private message

We are truly survivors! Our support for being there will shed light on a dark secret in this country and world and hopefully inspire the change so we can all recover on this difficult journey!
Thanks
Brian

This was an awesome experience. I was honored to be in the presence of so many brave men willing to go public to expose this evil!

Although there are some hurt feelings and some negatives, it seems to me that this production could do more for our cause of being survivors of male child abuse than any other single thing. I didn't apply to go because my voice trembles with emotion and I have been crying easily. I thought I wouldn't do a good job.

But listen, guys. This is potentially a really good thing.
