Jeremy Camp-There will be a day

I heard this song on the radio. It makes me want to cry with happiness. Recently, I have hit a point in therapy and in my spiritual walk that I have been able to concentrate on my family, job and various tasks without distractions (alcohol, flashbacks, porn, etc). I am a strong believer and it has saved me from the depths we all know too well. I cry when I think about this day. It will come.

Me too. This may sound like it's from the last century (which it is!) but I read the Bible every day - at least 3 chapters. This refreshes my mind and puts me in contact with God's thoughts. This is the biggest single contributor to my recovery. I also attend church regularly and serve it by playing in the church orchestra. Sometimes I have felt like a "foreigner" in church. This is just beginning to change.

I am so thankful for the calm God has given to me and the veil of dissociation and amnesia that has allowed me to survive mentally, physically and mentally.
