csa, that friggin' landmine.
that landmine that exploded and destroyed this little boy's world.
that landmine that took away my innocence.
took away my freedom.
took away my zest for life.
took away my trust.
took away my beliefs.
and left this soul falling into the depths of the water.
fear of the crushing water coming in.
drowning in this ever darkening domain.
looking up towards the surface i see the sun slowly fading away.

i feel something trying to grab me.
something else trying to grab on the other side of me.
afraid i try to scream but my screams aren't heard but are deafly silent.

i feel myself being pulled on. felling like i'm being lifted up.
i look back towards the surface and the sun is growing.
i break the surface of the water and instantly inhale the fresh air. taking in the life.
i'm pulled onto the shore face down.
still in fear and shivering from the cold.
what's happening to me? i cannot make a sound.
i'm turned over as the piercing light of the sun shines down. all i see are shadows and voices.
voices of comfort saying to me. easy. take it easy. you're safe now.
we are your brothers and we saw you heading down to the depths.
we've been there too and we came to help you.
we pulled you out and will now comfort you with our love and compassion.
we'll show you the way. we'll give you the tools. we'll give you your sword and shield to fight back.
to take back what is yours.
to give you your life back that was taken.
this is your day. this is the dawn of a new day.

As you have shown by your life these landmines do not have to completely devour all that was to be ours. Thanks Obi
