How am i you ask

How am i you ask well i might say
I will be fine when this burden in my life goes away
A burden that buried so deep from the past
Keeps rolling about in my mind

How am i you ask well i might say
The burden in my heart aint going away
It getting heavier to bear each day by day
And keeps rolling about in my mind

How am i you ask well i might say
Thank you for asking but now i feel sick
im sick of torture the pain and the grief
That keeps rolling about in my mind

How am i you ask well i might say
i feel lonley and desperate each new day
i feel there isnt a soul who will understand
What going on in my mind

How am i you ask well i might say
I need help and understanding from someone like me
To tackle whats going on in my mind

How am i you ask
I tell a white lie
i tell that im feeling fine to day
But i dnt realy tell whats going on in my mind

Sad Poem, I see the date of 1959. Is this when you wrote this? Are things different now?

Hey James and Earlybird,

Since James ID is "James 1959" I'm guessing this might be more recent than that.

James, I really feel this from you.

It sounds like you are asking for support from "someone like you". There are so many people here on MS who have had some many experiences in their lives. We are all different, but help us understand what support you need and from whom.

Haha, nice poem. I laugh because absolutely hate being asked "How are you?". I am a no-bs kind of guy, so when someone asks me that, many of the things you wrote about in your poem run through my mind. The answer to that question must be the single, most common lie told.
Thanks for the post

Im glad i gave you a laught chebanon i think we all cringe at that most common question when we meet someone and we tell a little white lie anwsering politely but we cant tell how we are realy feeling or whats going on in our minds

Thanks for your comment

James

Yes James, I know the feeling, people ask but they really don't want an honest answer. Yes, we need help and understanding; we need someone to walk by our side until we reach the other side of what's "rolling about in our mind".
