Mark thanks for asking for an explanation of this poem.
Earlier, I wrote a poem offering an olive branch of sorts to some who have taken issue with me and me with them. I felt that we were getting off track and needed to join together to slay this common dragon we all share in our life. It was completely ignored.
Shunning is an extremely effective tool to punish a person, especially ones such as ourselves that know of a loneliness many thankfully never will. I find it interesting and shameful that those who come from a faith that professes to be that of forgiveness and reconciliation can so easily walk past a man who wishes to engage with them. Iíve never questioned their right to faith but I will not simply bow to it either so they can be comfortable in their faith. It is in their gentle and powerful defense of their belief that others, such as myself, may find truth. In my eyes, their silence simply discredits their faith. Earlybird
