westsidej Member MaleSurvivor Registered: 12/04/09 Posts: 148 Loc: Minnesota	Hi brothers. I've come a long way since I first started therapy over a year ago from my csa. So many memories that I had suppressed or forget have come back to the surface. One of those repressed memories was where a gay man asked me to move in w/ him where he lived just outside of the Twin Cities and have an LTR. I liked him very much but looking back, was probably afraid to be in an openly gay relationship. I even drove out there to his place after a few months but lost his number and couldn't remember which home was his. I'm pretty sure that I was going out there just to have some NSA and not accept his offer. What did I miss out on? For those of you who did live w/ another man in an LTR and now consider yourself straight, bi and/or are married, what were some of the pros/cons? Differences/similarities from living w/ a woman in an LTR? Thanks for the insight and the info. On or off-line is just fine. Since I will never be in an LTR w/ a man, just wondering how you experienced it and if it had any short term or long term ramifications for your current hetero LTR. We've had our moments where it was very difficult because of the issues we deal with. But my partner and I have grown individually and as a couple since we've been together. We are both very different people than when we met. We grew together though. There are some differences but I think the basic issue is who a person wishes to be with in his life. Neither is better or worse than the either. It takes work and it takes love to make it work. On the flip side either can be hell on earth if with the wrong person. I admire anyone - gay or straight that can make their relationship into a good life for both.
