I was on a plane coming home Saturday thinking about little Jimmy. I have a picture of him (circa 13) on my Blackberry. Just as I brought his image up, Oh Come Emanuel played on my iPod.

It struck me about his spiritual captivity and exile from emotion. A tear came up for him and at the same time I felt hopeful:

Oh, come, oh, come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel!

Hi, my brother Jim.

Great timing don't you think?

I too got teared up when they sang that one & others at Mass.

As litle Pete took me back 60 years in that orphanage/Home when we sang those carols.

Yes my brother, Jim1961. HOPE, we sure need a lot of it.

But, I have HOPE for you, HOPE for me & HOPE for our fraaternal brothers here.

Heal well my brother Jim, heal well.
