Do you enjoy watching animals? Do you ever go to the zoo or watch flicks about animals?

Here's a good one:

The Story of the Weeping Camel

The setting is the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. The people and the animals have to endure harsh conditions. The camels have long hair to survive the harsh storms. The camel here has long auburn hair (not like the football team). She has a labored, painful delivery of a male colt. As a result she rejects him: No nuzzling, no milk delivery, no tenderness.

What the people do to remedy the situation is to have a ceremony in which they sing plaintive sweet songs to the mother camel. They have a guy who plays the sweet melody with a 2-stringed violin. As you watch the troubled mother camel a remarkable thing happens. She starts to cry. You can actually see tears flowing from her eyes. She is changed. She starts allowing the young colt to suckle. She nuzzles it and accepts it. smile

The power of music!

I enjoyed it. It has some powerful lessons for us humans.

This is a great story. The repentance and love the mother eventually shows to her son is remarkable.

Tears of joy here ----> cry
