I had this thought today. My brother and I were kidnapped and raped/tortured by an uncle for 2 weeks. When we got rescued, my brother and I did not reveal what had happened and I don't remember anyone really asking us. He grew old and died a natural death, abusing more boys apparently. When my mother went to get us, he told her she was free to leave but we were not. Hello, even if you don't know what he did, is kidnapping and doing so across state lines not a crime? Not an Fing thing ever happened to him, WTF. Sorry, venting, I love my mother but still.

My uncle was the brother of my father. My uncle meant it too, she literally took off with us leaving a lot of possessions across a field, hid in a house, called a distant relative who took us to a bus station. The more that I think of it, The SHERIFF himself talked to us at the bus station because my uncle was looking for us, the sheriff helped us hide but did nothing to my uncle. The Sheriff also gets a big WTF!!!! More so than my mother because at least she did take us out of there anyway.
