Great sale for a hotel for the MS Conference in March

Embassy Suites in Downtown near Wall Street is only $139 a night for a 2 Room 1 King Bed and 1 sofabed suite. Thats a good deal for even 1 person but for 2 its fantastic.

Hotel gets great reviews on tripadvisor and is fairly easy to get to John Jay from there. Just 6 blocks to the A Train at Chambers St. and then 15 minutes to 59th Street/Columbus Circle (the closest subway station to John Jay)

It is their "Winter Promotion" so it could either be sold out or be discontinued at any time. Rate is cancelable up to 24 hours prior to check-in (I believe check info on the website). I'm going to be booking it even though I'm not sure if I'm going cuz there is no cancel penatly and its a steal in Manhattan

There's a decent looking hotel for the same price that's a lot closer (79th and 10th Ave) you might want to check out.

If I could get a rate of $139 at the Embassy Suites I might get talked into sharing there. There website said more like $339.

The Newton Hotel near Broadway and 94th Street has a really nice 2-room 2-bed suite for $150/night, with a advance booking special through December 27th of 15% off, and 24-hour room service.

Tell me more about the Embassy Suites at $139???

Its only available at the embassy suites website and buried in the rates, "Best Available Rate" is not the best available rate. Its located 4th section down under Winter Promotion.

Plus as with most Embassy Suites it has free cooked to order breakfast.

I've stayed at this Red Roof Inn, decent location not too far from Penn Station. Place was clean, room was decent by New York standards

I was really looking to share a suite. Most NYC hotel rooms are fairly small, so I'd prefer a 2 room suite. I see that Park 79 has one for $189. But I think I'll save the $50 and live with a bit of a commute.

The Hotel Metro right off of 35th Street and Broadway has a 20%-30% off pre-booking deal if it is done by December 28th. The discount takes their $210/night queen room rate down to $157, and they have a 2-bed room also. The place has a nice restaurant and bar and was recently renovated too.

I finally found the Winter rate at the Embassy Suites. You have to check-in on Thursday and there is a minimum 2-night stay. $139/night for a city-view king suite with a sleeper couch in the living room sounds pretty good to me. I will only be staying Thursday and Friday nights as my flight back leaves Saturday night. You want to sleep on the sleeper couch Thursday and Friday nights for $65, that would be cool with me. Then you could have the place to yourself Saturday night for $139 + tax.
