i just loved the opening line in the movie:

' i always believed it was the things you don't choose that makes you who you are'

it was a powerful opening statement. i'd say that definitely applies here with us.

I agree 100%. There are so many things in my life that have happened to me that were the choice of others and I have had to come to terms with those choices.

I am in the process of learning to try and live as if I have made choices that were different than the ones imposed: Trying to get my life 'back on track' - a track that I think I had freer access too before others' choices blocked off those routes.

I have just had a look at the poster for the film that the quote comes from "Gone Baby Gone". There is another poignant quote on the poster that is hitting home at the moment because - again - it so fits in with my experience. That quote: "Hope begins where the secrets end".

These two will go on my wall of quotes.
