Did anyone see this story? My sister came home from her night class raving about how they thought this little boy was in this helium balloon that rose to 10,000 feet above the air. The air force and everything was tracking the balloon following it and everything. When it finally landed - they ripped open the hatch and it was empty. They thought the boy might have fallen out but then suddenly they found the boy. He was hiding in the attic of the home. He was scared because he didn't want anyone to be mad at him for releasing the balloon! Crazy story...

I did see it. If you read further, you have to ask yourself why three boys were playing with the balloon. Apparently the kids chase storms with the family as a hobby. Adventure is cool but safety of your kids should be in there some where...

Aww, it's not that hard. Picture yourself at six years old. Now picture a huge balloon tethered in your backyard. Allow imagination to take over from there.

I also heard the Dad and mom are into putting on "shows" and the boy stated for the "show". Interesting....

The radio DJ stated the dad was a crack head. hmmmm

I did not hear the whole story.

The father was on a "show" recently called Wife Swap or something like that.

I heard about it but was not aware they'd found the boy till I read your post. Glad he's safe!

I think the whole crisis thing was staged. Call me insensitive, but its just my belief.

and when the ballon escapses, Who's filming?
and why do they react to it so calmly....

Man, that's so screwed up. Being that desperate for attention. *I* ain't never THAT desperate for ANY attention. If I want attention, I'll go get myself arrested some other way instead of putting my children (if I had any) at risk.

The story was on the front of the metro newspaper. In the newspaper it said that they thought the boy was in the balloon, but found it empty, and that witnesses thought they saw him fall out of the balloon to his death.

The paper said that police searched the house, but could not find the boy.

This is the first i have heard that he was found alive. I am kind of annoyed, it seems like the newspaper had inaccurate information.
