Thanks for this, I was on holiday in Canada in September 06 when Sheldon Kennedy's name and case came up on CBC news - though I didn't know about his book then.

I'll look out for this book and try to pick it up when there's a British importer through Amazon.

i just read that grahm james "sexually assulted" sheldon kennedy 300 times and another player 50 times...and was only given 3 and a half years jail...thats 350 sexual assults total,...if i got this correct thats about 1 1/2 days for each sexual assult against a boy....you have got to be kidding me!!!

Nope! Something is seriously wrong in this country when boys are abused and the perps get next to nothing when convicted. Last week I had a bit of a meltdown when I learned a female teacher received 45 days after sexually assaulting a 13-14 year old for a year.

This truly disgusts me...

Bet the Spanish authorities and anywhere else he coached in Europe will be watching him good and close as well - there's no developed Ice Hockey scene that I know of in the UK but he wouldn't be allowed in through that door, even if he was allowed in the country.

Thanks also to Geeders, have called in some money I'm owed as I want that book soon as (by Fleury) - it has UK pricing on Amazon so the minute the payback of the loan is sorted, I'll order it.

...Frigging Amazon UK, the book's been out a day, still no shipment, why have a listing in British money if the book hasn't been imported for sale yet!! Last time I make that mistake, I'll have to try and pick up the next Canadian book another way.

Although I may be wrong, my recollection is that when the Spanish autorities were alerted to the fact that the man was a perp, they sort of turned a blind eye to it. I think he is still there. But as I said, I could be wrong.

Now there's no Brit postal strike anymore, may get on with ordering this after all, and not read that story properly if it's quoting selective parts of the text.

As for that website, didn't have the patience for it, might be useful for some, but not all. Maybe it's been updated to include Fleury's input, last I checked that top cyclist was the newest disclosure on it.

The Canadian Parole Board pardoned Fleury's abuser Graham James three years ago, but the Prime Minister just found out about it. Also, another victim of James has just come forward.
