Hi,

Would anyone know of a location that would be willing to host a weekly support meeting in NYC?

Our International Conference of Recovery will be at John Jay College the weekend of March 18th to 21st of next year. There will be many therapists and leaders in recovery there leading recovery groups and giving lectures. Perhaps John Jay College would be willing to offer a room to a recovery group???

I attend a church in NYC. They would probably offer a spot for a group like that.

I'm not sure that they would do that, just my feeling that they wouldn't, but you never know.

Um, see, if i was to look for a place i would look for places that are owned by the local council/authority (although i have a feeling that the UK may be set up differntly to the US)- like in my area i would look for places which are already used by voluntary or communtiy organisations, so yes churches or halls and community centres. If you search for those kind of buildings you may find that they have an open slot somewhere that you can use. If that doesn't work maybe you can find therapist offices and ive heard of therapists helping to find places for support groups- even letting people use their buildings.

Doesn't seem like exactly what you're looking for, but the CVTC near Columbia conducts group sessions (weekly) - I believe they run about 14 or 16 weeks, four times a year (I think). A requirement is to be in individual therapy:
