Actually, I dropped out of college 4 times, I despise formal education, and I'll never go back. With the exception of some specialized professions, College Degrees have become little more than hunting licenses for jobs. But I digress.
Let us extrapolate a little on what we're exploring here, ok? (government intrusion into education)
Let us pretend that, in the government's infinite wisdom, back in the 19th century, with the advent of Francis Bellamy's dream (the domination of Socialist Public Schools in the education of our children) that they ALSO decreed that people can't really afford to attend church either. I mean, people work so hard and don't have enough money, so government must help them pay for attending church services as well. Right?
Now, the Constitutional arguments against government being involved in any establishment of religion aside, let us just pretend that for the last 120 years, government has subsidized churches and the money that parishioners can give to them. Needless to say, as year after year goes by, attending church becomes more and more expensive.
All of a sudden, some nutjob like Hauser comes along and argues that people COULD afford to go to church ON THEIR OWN of the government would simply stop SUBSIDIZING the organization. Only, Hauser finds himself fighting against the prevailing wisdom that dictates that if government DIDN'T subsidize churches, only the "rich" could afford to go.
Do you see the folly in your position Andy? (now I'm pointing fingers at you)
BTW, YES IT IS a conspiracy! They've subverted the entire population into a nation of sheep, more accurately, a nation who's people have abdicated their responsibility to rein in their government that has long been over-stepping the bounds of it's Constitutional Authority.
