As I recall, the Hartford team at one time played in Houston in the WHA, back when Gordie Howe came out of retirement to play with his sons there. Then they moved to Hartford when the WHA folded.
One of the greatest hockey games I ever watched was the last season that the Jets were in Winnepeg. They played the Red Wings in the playoffs and won a game in their own building. The crowd was incredibly loud. The game is on Youtube in its entirety.

A couple of definitions from the Urban Dictionary... Canuck A term for Canadians like "Yankee" to Americans. Comes from a WWI comic book called "Johnny Canuck" a Canadian soldier in the war. Also the name of Vancouver's NHL team Usage: Canucks Rule! Canuck A person from a country that did burn down the American White house. This country also invented the telephone.  Jim

Canuck- pronounced in english(can I be a duck) in Canadian(canuck)a person who wishes he could be a duck(As in migthy Ducks).
It was a damn Brit who burned down the White House. They also invented Hockey!

Hi Mike: My first passport in 1973 said "A Canadian Citizen is a British Subject" It no longer says that. And at the time your first White House was burned down, we were British. Ta ta for now!  Jim
