Clearly a good premise of a DVD. We cant really see its full content from the website, but this nation and this world are a moving freight-train of porn and needs education re this topic. To stop it and reverse the porn train it would be next to impossible without a base of understanding the ramifications.

This DVD was created to educate the masses on the potential EFFECTS of Porn.

One of my recent flashback memories was that my perps had access to stacks and stacks of porn (straight, gay and child). But, I don't blame the porn, I blame the character of the parents and other adults in their lives. These were 12 yos, with access to one sick father's sick collection. These were 12 yos with an installed sense of entitlement thanks to disturbed coaches and a community filled with license for arrogant jocks. Add porn....you get ME as meat.

I thought well yeah, that's stating the obvious!
But then of course like the review said, not everybody sees the problems that pornography can create, so i think this documentary is a good step to revealing the growing problem in the modern world. It makes me wonder, what would it be like without porn, would the world be as twisted? i bet there would be less abuse, i know this kind of thing has always gone on even before the kind of access to porn that there is now, but i still think that there would be less abuse if porn was controlled better.

I struggle big time with porn addiction (images/camming/chatting). I have since the Internet came out in 92.

Unfortunately, I am cynical that it will ever go away, or be significantly reduced. Being anti-porn is like being anti-glacier (borrowing from Vonnegut).

However, education of the dangers (which are very real), may at least shake up some men's attitudes that "its just porn."

I appreciate the resource and I certainly can relate to being powerless in the face of porn... I know in my heart that porn is part of a vast continium of that which dehumanizes... once the object is no longer human it has no intrinsic value and thus does not matter... That is what has supported genocides over the millenia and fuels hatred and intolerence to this day. If each individual commits to their own self to make a daily effort to humanize others we will make a difference.

My experience with fighting against issues in my life (work/food/sex addictions/obsessions) is that fighting against them only gives them power over me. Censorship only gives it more energy... speaking as one who has searched out lists of "banned" books as a source of reading material ;-)

That article refers to "perverted" sexual acts, and makes judgment calls on behaviors that we probably would want to reserve our opinions about, considering the diversity of sexuality reflected in our population.

ken singer suggesting for consumption here an opinion from a christian faith based organization that promotes hatred homophobia and bigotry? i wouldn't bet on that.......

It's not the ministries article cited by puffer, nor the one Ron mentioned. I don't post articles that come from suspect sources, only ones that are research based. No religious positions, whack-job blog sites, Fox news or Rush Limbaugh.

I looked for the original source (from a psychologist colleague who is reputable) but can't find it. Guess the link expired.
