retract, defend,
push forward again.
curse of a reflex.
truths of unheard words.
ruins of my being,
trampled upon, destroyed.
barely recognized,
used.

forfeited assumable thing.
me a.k.a it.
mistake absolute.
tossed away
roach of unseen reality.
acquired for amusement
reputably disposed
dependently weak

I read this poem in probably less than a minute the first time.

And yet I find I need to keep reading it line by line so much slower.

'solemn desolation' - that's just so powerful and meaningful.
