i think every country 'should' establish a commissary position for addressing the issues specific to sexual abuse in general, and male sexual abuse in particular.

thankfully, we do have a lot of advocacy organizations that are 'out there' doing their thing righteously, but it would be really beneficial to the citizenry if governments would appoint a bonafide portal for addressing and supplying resources for coming to terms with the effects of sexual abuse, which are pertinent to such a large percentage of any population.

who knows, perhaps our efforts and participation here are somehow helping pave the way for establishing such a platform in the future.

Well, I sure hope so Ron. Mike C. here was sitting on the Advisory Panel of the Inquiry, and all we can do now is wait and see what transpires out of 4 years of hard, and often times heartbreaking work.

I emailed the Inquiry with my concerns and thoughts about the difficulty accessing services, especially in rural areas, and also cited the difficulties that traditional assault centres have in letting the men in their communities know that men are accepted for treatment. I hope they heard what I said....
