Hi guys:
I have to be away again in Lincoln, NE for another legal hearing and possibly sentencing too. The hearing to request a new trial is Friday in Courtroom 22. I don't have a good feeling but do have an appeal attorney lined-up just in case. It looks like I will lose my driver's license for a year and have to pay a big fine, with some jail time a slight possibility, for my responsibility in a minor accident with no injuries in January of 2008. It isn't the worst thing that could have happened, but certainly not the best outcome either.
I hope to return to school and finish my degree, and have already applied and been granted 48 transfer semester credits. In the meantime I have the financial resources to stay afloat, barely. And I hope to be able to continue to offer my support toward the goal of the recovery effort here for some time to come yet, if you guys will continue to have me.
Thanks again for letting me be a part of your lives as you move in the direction of your recovery. And thanks in advance for your support in my time of need.
Have hope,
Mark

Mark,
Good luck. There is always hope. But then maybe there are other plans for your future. Than driving a truck.

Retirement on $32K per year at age 51 with no medical insurance and with the value of the Dollar slowly sinking with the setting sun?
Thanks for thinking of me Mike, hope to see you again soon.
Mark

Mark,
I never mentioned retirement. Just a different path of employment. You do have alot of recovery, klownledge and a fondness for words.

Best of luck Mark. I spent five years in Nebraska and don't really care to go back.
I hope the hearing goes well. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm just going to wish you all the best. You were the first, if not one of the first to welcome me. And for that, I will always be truly thankful. Because of your outreach, it helped me stay here, and to heal.
Mark, my prayers are with you.

Mark, you are going to make it through, you are a very clever and resourceful guy, you have your head firmly screwed on, and you've made it this far. There are always options, who knows what the future will hold, im hoping that even with more adversity you will see your way through this smiling. You really deserve to be smiling, you are worth a lot.

Omaha and back in 24 hours and a night at a Holiday Inn, plus I'm up $120 at the Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs, which along with the $510 I was up at Fortune Valley last Monday night Paid almost all of the fine!!! But I can't drive in Nebraska for the next year, so if I go east, I'll be driving through Kansas!!! Nebraska is kind of a long, boring drive anyway.
Looks like I will have plenty of time to stick around for the next few months anyway. Let's see: Finish my degree in Urban Planning and Economics or buy a little motel/restaurant/bar in the mountains somewhere??? 48 transfer credit-hours makes me a sophomore!!! Or just sit in a rocking chair on the porch with a cold drink in my hand, waiting for the customers to show-up. I'll have to learn a little more Spanish for that job though. How do you say "mow the lawn" or "clean that room" in Spanish???
Thanks for your support guys, I really appreciate it.
Mark
