Comments in the article are pretty lame as are the ones that follow in the comments section where the enlightened masses get to add their two cents. Its pretty sad in this day and age that people still think a 15 year old boy can "get lucky".

Two years ago the CBC did a report on a similar case, again out west, where the boy was seventeen and the teacher was twenty five. The comments by the older townsfolk (male) was enough to make you wanna puke. The boy was actually run out of his home town because of the jeering and finger pointing - after all, he complained didn't he?

In that instance the teacher kept her job.

Then there is the teacher (female) who was having an 'inapropriate relationship' with one of her female students. Again in some jerked off prairie town and the school knew! In her mid-teens the girl came forward and tried to complain, only no one took her complaint seriously - not the school, not the police, not her familly. For the sake of her sanity as well as her safety, the girl left town.

In that instance, as well, the teacher kept her job.

The guy who sexually abused me was my teacher in the 5th grade.
When he was found out he just left town and moved on to some where else to start abusing again. I guess it was easier for those in charge to brush it aside then to deal with there poor choice in teachers. From what I was told by my grandmother he didn't even have the peoper cerdentials to be a teacher in the first place.
Sad to see that this attitude conitues even today.
