cross or crucifix? i've heard of rules to remove crucifixes from certain establisments before but never crosses

When prayer was taken out of Schools..That and the cross issue are both important ..What will be next? as for the ID issue I for one thank that is a good idea

When prayer was taken out of Schools..That and the cross issue are both important ..What will be next? as for the ID issue I for one thank that is a good idea The current economic conundrums may lead to a new method of currency. A universal identity system may come. Everybody may have to have an ID number under their skin but visible with scanning equipment. Allen pufferfish

(I don't mean to divert your topic Dave, I'm just going with how I feel about it. For what it's worth, I see absolutely nothing wrong with having historically/culturally signifigant religious symbols displayed on Government property)
Alan,  That was the point and purpose of the post and why it was relevant and should have been left where it was... As any survivor knows, without our history...we tend to make the same errors over and over...as the person who moved the post has proven.  Dave

For me this speaks to tolerance... and in the interest of appearing inclusive I see our institutions building division in cases such as this.
This Ben Franklin quote seems relevant.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
