While "Stumbling" on the interwebs the other day I came across a Wiki page titled "Godwin's Law" and was fascinated by the arguments presented. Certainly I think the law has some merit tho I don't think it's entirely reliable either. Here's the basic premise of Godwin's Law (it should be noted that I'm not pointing any fingers with this posting, just bringing up something I found interesting): As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one. Here's the link to the Wiki article.

I had never thought of that, John, but yes, I can see the truth in that. I should go check to see who this "Godwin" is/was.

For those who might not feel obliged to check it out... The rule does not make any statement about whether any particular reference or comparison to Adolf Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate, but only asserts that one arising is increasingly probable. It is precisely because such a comparison or reference may sometimes be appropriate, Godwin has argued[4] that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact. TToon,
And the point of this is? And what effect does it have on my recovery or life? Just wondering?
Mike

Mike, it is in the "off topic" forum It may or may not be relevant to your recovery but, I think it is interesting all the same. Dave

ttoon,
After I replied to you I checked it out. Found it to be really interesting.
Maybe I should have done this the other way around. Checked it out then replied.
Mike
