I talked with my T about this very thing today. He said he knows of no real groups like this in Iowa. I'm with you Michael, I'd love to see some started in my area, but I also know I'm not the one to do it right now.

Hi Mike,

I just sent Michael Banks the contact number to find out about the LA group so you can PM him and see what he is able to find out. You can also PM Ken Followell the MS president because he started the very first MS support group and he could answer your questions too about how to get a group started and deal with issues like safety.

I live in NYC, and even here there are very, very, few groups for CSA dealing with guys, I have searched!!! If there was a survivor type of 12 step group, I would definitely attend.

Thanks for the link. I have not seen this before but it is filled with information! They're about 3 and a half hours from me in Davenport, I live in the dead center of Iowa. I'd have thought that the capital city, Des Moines, which is also where my T is, would have more resources, but it doesn't appear to.
Regardless, I'll check into The Mens Center as soon as I'm done posting this reply.
