I'm looking for support near Roanoke, VA or Greensboro, NC. Anyone know of anything?

Hey I have a great therapist in Asheville, NC. I will ask him on Tuesday and see if he knows of someone in your area. He works for a large group that specializes in Male Survivors. I will let you know.

Wow, this 2 1/2 year old thread is revived. Unfortunately, still nothing around here that I am aware of. I guess Roanoke might be roughly half way between Front Royal and Raliegh (LOL)! Let me know when you guys want to make the drive! ;o)

Hey everyone I am also from this area and have been looking for a group as well. There is some type of survivor's group (dealing with all abuse emotional, physical, and sexual) that (is coed in the triangle area of NC from meetup.com but there hasn't been much activity and meetings continue to get canceled for the last year. After being here 3 and a half years I have only just recently found a good psychiatrist that is professional, intelligent , and familiar with sexual abuse. I don't know if anyone is familiar with the ACT team but they are a case-manager type group connected with my clinic and I suggeseted to them to start a sexual abuse survivor's group and they are actually looking into it, you would have to pay for it if it is not covered by your insurance but I only have medicade and they said I would be covered so I will keep everyone up to date, this would be in Goldsboro which is 45 minutes to an hour east of Raleigh.
