Tip #1) Always tip the bar waitresses for free cocktails, and tip the valet parking guys $5 minimum too.

Tip #2) Basic strategy in blackjack is only a -2% expectation, which means 98% payback.

Tip #3) If a slot machine isn't paying anything after $10 or $20 bucks, move on.

Tip #4) If you win big always tip like you are a high-roller. Casinos love to comp big tippers.

Tip #5) Look for coupons in the local gambling paper. The buffet is 2 for 1 at the Riviera in Blackhawk this month.

Tip #6) Frontier Airlines has 24 channels of cable TV at your seat. Southwest Airlines doesn't.

Tip #7) The Suncoast has a free airport shuttle van. Huge rooms are $49/night Su-Th, and they comp the buffet.

Tip #8) If you win big, after tipping like you are a high-roller, take your (their) money and run.

Tip #9) All-you-can-eat prime rib, shrimp, and crab legs costs 2 people $13 total at the Riviera this month with the coupon.

Tip #10) A limo from the Las Vegas Airport to the Bellagio is $40, plus I tipped the driver $10 too.

Tip #11) Lunch at the Parisian was $79 plus tip for 2. (I'm up $150 plus we had a free lunch at the Parisian).

Tip #12) The Tropicana has a nice swim-up pool bar and caters to the mid-price crowd!

Tip #13) The Easy Street or the Bonanza in Central City have loose slots!!!

Lots of people play like the M.I.T. guys.

Mark

You just have to learn how to count cards and play different count strategies at blackjack, plus have a signal for your big player to come to the table when the count gets high. Usually the M.I.T. guys would have a team of small-stakes players counting at several different blackjack tables. When the card count got up to +10 or more their small stakes player scratched his neck and then the big player came into the game and started playing $1000/hand. The big player only played when the card count was highly favorable to the player.

I have a guy that I play blackjack with sometimes, who will signal me by increasing his bet. It used to be that he would play the silent role and I would play the loud drunk. My buddy played $2-$3 until the card count got good, then he would begin to bet $5 or even $10 as the count increased. That was my signal to go from $3-$5/hand and start betting $25-$50 per hand. We had some fun, made some money, and drank many free drinks. And the best part was that the casinos just love guys that play like this. On a good night an experienced counting team that never bets over $100 could easily walk out up several hundred Dollars or more.

There are several good books on card-counting and strategies. So far I stay away from poker but blackjack has been very good to me.

Good luck,

Mark

Another Thursday night, another night in a free king room at Fortune Valley, two more free trips to the buffet, and another $180 to the good side. Then last night I finally got lucky at Bingo after a long drought to the tune of $125 too. My wife prefers Bingo to casinos so I have to go there too. But now comes another long car trip to Lincoln, NE, so I'll be gone until tomorrow night. Talk to you tomorrow night again.

Wish me luck,

Mark

We have been having so much fun that we decided to take them up on their offer this coming Thursday night too. Plus this week we will get a $30 bonus plus the free hotel room and their dinner buffet with the prime rib, crab legs, shrimp, etc. And maybe next time that we go to Omaha we will have to use-up a free night at Ameristar in Council Bluffs. Their rooms are really nice and we can get a jacuzzi room for $39.95 there too!

Ah ha, Mark, I finally figured it out, you must have driven an armoured car for Brinks or somebody and hijacked it and are living the high life incognito. But I'm in Germany and I won't squeal on ya. Humor. Heal well my friend & continued good luck.
