In the midst of the darkness, the thunder, Burns a flame with a heart of a soldier.
Ready, alert, committed in giving his life, his all.
The flame is me... ...my destiny.
Not a long poem, not anything major....but for me it's a declaration that I am a warrior, a survivor and that I will stand up and fight this fight. Not just my battle, but that I am committed to stand up for fellow men and boys and help them fight this storm that rages within.

Perfect timing...it's Veterans' Day here in the U.S. Especially for those of us who suffered abuse AND served in the military, I thank you.
Peace,
John

Vin,
Cool poem. And yes, you can fight this fight. You've already got all the strength and courage you will need; the trick is just to find it, trust it, and learn to use it.
Much love, Larry
