This is to continue a conversation which diverted from the topic of a different thread and concerns abdominal pain I have been having off and on which has a good chance of being some complication of a surgery I had in 2000 for a gunshot wound to my lower abdomen (suicide by cop attempt).

Roofus, thankyou. I agree I wud not rush into any signing approval for any kind of surgery. No one has suggested any such thing yet, but If it gets really bad to where it's bothering me constantly, then I guess there wudn't be a choice.

I hate to think about it. I guess 4 now I just gotta hope it stays manageable.

The medical profession has made great strides in gastro/intestinal and heart surgery. Also urology. They can really do some great work now. But it's important to:

1. Make sure you are well insured first.

2. Get the very best surgeon available.

For instance in my city we don't have a great urologist surgeon. Guys sometimes drive 100 miles to get the best surgeon in our state. It is worth checking on. The good ones don't charge any more.
