It's time for another little vacation. We are going to the Fortune Valley for a free night in their hotel and a free trip through their buffet line. Heck, they are so desperate that they are even giving us $15 for gas. But it means that you guys will have another night's vacation away from me too. See you guys tomorrow hopefully a little heavier in the wallet.

Until then, have hope,

Mark

Mark,

Yea, keep hoping.
That wallet is why they got you up there.
But good luck anyway.
Maybe I will hit Las Vegas soon it is only a couple hours away.

Mike

Hey Mark, is there any way that a 69 yr old can be an 18 wheeler driver? Do you haul money in your trailers? Do it now as when you are on social security you won't have the (extra) funds. Wish you luck. By the way how did you make out with that court date? If you care to answer. Have fun, heal well my friend.

I have personally seen guys in their mid 70s driving semis. You would have to take a CDL training course unless you have some military experience with a military CDL, and you would have to be able to pass the medical and vision criteria. If you had 5 years of experience you ought to be able to make in the $50K to $60K range if you work full time. These days with the economy, all bets are off though. Even with just 2 years of experience you ought to be able to make $45K.

Or you could become a professional gambler too. You get to stay in nice casino rooms with high-end pillowtop beds, eat good casino food, drink free casino cocktails, have food delivered by room service in the middle of the night, lounge in the casino hot tub, have fun, and have all of the service staff call you Sir, and even make some money doing it sometimes. The casino was so sorry to see my wife and I walking out the front door with all of their cash that they gave us 1000 free player's club points and offered us another free night in their hotel in 2 weeks. Our 20 hour total was up $360 not including the free stuff, which beats working for a living anyday.

My dad was a 1947 grad of Wellesley Hills High School, right nearby to Newton.

Still haven't been to court yet. Now the prosecution needed an extension.

Maybe they can stretch it out until I retire!

Mark

Well, I have been up over $1000 six times, and I have never lost more than $500. I won $1400 on a Holland-America cruise ship. I believe all told over the last 30 years that I am up at least several thousand bucks, not including all of the comps. Gambling is a lot like other forms of recreation. How much is an expensive dinner out and tickets to a play or sporting event going to run you? Let's see: Club-level seats for the LA Kings were $150 each, on top of the $150 dinner at the Raymond in Pasadena, and the highest value seats at the Bellagio for Cirque du Soliel's "O" show were the same $150 face value, but they were comp tickets and only cost a certain level of play history, win or lose. Dinner at the Primo Steakhouse at the Suncoast was also a comp, as was the buffet and the bottle of wine there. So they made us pay $49 for a king room there and $70 off the regular rate to play golf next door at Angel Park's Mountain course.

I am not suggesting it as a course of action for you Lewis, until you have lots of disposable income to spare.

Pete,

I have guys at my work who are in their 70's and still driving for Roadway.
They are drawing a SSN check, a Teamster pension check and they are working 60 hrs a week at Roadway.
They have everything paid off but just cannot seen to give up the Job..
But the way things are going we all might have to work till death.
Or live in my car in a fast food parking lot,- seeing alot of this in the L.A. area lately.

Mike

Word on the street is that Mark has hooked up with some of those ex-M.I.T. guys, and they have worked out the master formula. No cheating or card counting this time, just pure formula that puts the odds in your favor for over half the games one usually finds in a casino.

Problem is, additional word on the street is that no one is talking, and I assume that means Mark as well. One could try and "reverse engineer" the formula I suppose, but I can't gather that would be too easy.

Okay guys, I have to confess here that this was all a bunch of fictitious hyperbole. Sorry Mark. Please do reveal the true strategy!!
