Well, I remember "Leave it to Beaver", "Dennis the Menace", "My Favorite Martian", Timmy and Lassie and the kid and the dolphin, Rat Patrol, Time Tunnel, Star Trek, Lost in Space with Billy Mumy, and one of my favorite movies of all time with all of its tense little dramas playing their way out, was the 1970 movie Airport, with Dean Martin and Burt Lancaster.
And I still remember stories of my dad trudging his way through 3 feet of snow to get to school every morning before cars were invented too, even though my dad's first car was built when he was still in nursery school, and the last Model T had rolled-off of the assembly line 2 years before my dad was born.
Yes, I remember life in the 1960s. Though there were many other influences in my life in the 1960s, but some of the things I remember best about my life in the 1960s was my mother's 1968 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon, my dad's 1967 Firebird, and my grandfather's love affair with his Imperial and his Dodge pickup. Heck, I even remember my mom's Corvair.
Yes, the 1960s were a simpler time of life.

Bozo and Mr. Greenjeans were instrumental in my early development, along with Big Time Wrestling, with ole Haystack Calhoun, and the United Auto Workers too. And I remember the day that the dress code died in May of 1970 also. The parents hadn't approved the relaxation of the dress code on a rigged mail-in ballot, where no response was treated as a no vote by the school board. At precisely 10:30 AM, almost all of the students in the 5 junior high and high school buildings in my school district, dropped our pencils on the floor, followed 5 minutes later by walking out of class. That scared the adults so much that the dress code fell within 30 minutes and us kids were free to dress as we liked.
Just wanted you to know how it happened. Oh, how I sometimes wish for the good old days again.
