Bullshit! Total bullshit! Cole Hamels was forced to pitch the top of the sixth, and the Rays scored an "unearned" run specificly because the field was drenched. The game is now tied at 2.
I have no problem with why they stopped the game. It's the "when" part that I have a problem with. Cole had to pitch in rainy, windy, cold and just unreasonable conditions. Then the game was suspended and now the Rays will pitch the bottom of the sixth, whenever play resumes, but they will be able to do it in fair weather conditions. That is wrong!
The game should have not been played, period! It was was raining small farm animals from the first pitch thrown. The game should have been postponed until Thursday night.
Right now, we are in a Nor'easter, and if anybody lives on the northeast coast, especially around NJ, you know how bad these storms are. Forecasters are predicting that rain and wind will subside on Thursday morning.
My island is completely flooded. No way to drive. We're spending the day at home.
Total, total, total, BULLSHIT!
