USE A FRIGGING TRIGGER WARNING ALWAYS PREFERABLY IN THE FRIGGING TITLE
You might have been talking about these topics for years
Others are NEW HERE!!

can you tell I feel strongly about this?

Once someone is comfortable talking about tough subjects it is easy to forget that some people are sensitive. But thanks for reminding us once again. How is your average new guy supposed to know who gets triggered by what?

I like Brian's use of Trigger Potential too.

Different things will trigger different folks.
I can't speak for everyone but I learn a lot by observation.
As far as trigger warnings go, particularily for "lurkers" & new users better to "err on the side of caution"
Interestingly enough, it seems to also drive up the number of "views"
But that is another topic?

I have a real gutteral visceral reaction to certain words
One of them is "rape", possibly because of visual flashbacks I have been having lately.

Certain words keep getting used to the point of "losing their power"
Is "rape" a word that we as a community want that to happen with?
A trigger warning helps on several levels IMO.

I've "taken it upon myself" to edit topic posts myself.
Maybe that is overstepping things.

No apologies from me or expected from you.
But a little more foresight & responsibility would earn you more respect
(if you give a shit)

Then how about this then : I was pinned to the ground and penetrated with no knowledge of what was about to happen to me and most certainly without my consent...three times in a row.........

Sometimes a spade is a spade........but, hey, if you have a more politically correct phrase for it, then give it to me. I have always found, however that "gang-raped" gets my point across.

Joel

Get a grip & get the point
All I asked for was a trigger warning
Warn me I am going to be reading about a spade

Respectfully?

From original posting

TRIGGERS+++Talking about rape or predators or ?
USE A FRIGGING TRIGGER WARNING ALWAYS PREFERABLY IN THE FRIGGING TITLE

Was this unclear or in anyway asking for people not to talk about it?
Is there any indication of political correctness?
