So

I have a 20GB iPod currently with only 500MB free space.

In 2 weeks, it's time to load on 2GB of Christmas music (weeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!)

I've been working all year at weeding out the rubbish songs from this iPod and I have my library extremely nicely pared down... But it looks like I've not done nearly enough trimming!

Crap cakes,
~Bri

Can't you just set it to only put the "checked" songs on the ipod? Like on my itunes each song has a box by it that you can check or uncheck...*shrug*

yeah -- i have been unchecking over the past year! Like i said my library is beautifully pared down!! my iPod only has checked songs on it and im still outta space.

Some days i wish the damn thing would just stop working so i could go out and buy a new 120GB classic for $249... If they didn't build these things so bulletproof i wouldn't be having this issue! and i refuse to buy a new one till this one is done for...

its >4 years old and still has a freaking 12-hour charge on the battery.

Happy thousand Andy!

and craig... i can't live without Albuquerque!!!! But i only have it on there once!

this last year i also spent much time reripping a significant portion of my library from 256kbps to 192kbps which is 'acceptable' bitrate quality.

all that and i STILL don't have nearly enough room for my christmas music! beyond that -- this 2GB of christmas music I have is last years' collection -- so thats without adding even a single album (usually pick up 4-5/year.)

and yeah -- scratches. i remember that first day i had my iPod and it was a perfect mirror finish on the back and front. You could actually see finger prints! now the backing looks like brushed stainless steel and there's a hyoooook scratch that cuts the apple right in half! this is after keeping it in a protective case about 90% of the time i use it too!

amazing idea but until december 1 i listen to christmas music amongst the remainder of my library

december 1 i make the switch to all christmas all the time

i'd love to splurge on the new one

but that would make my old iPod redundant

redundant is no good unless its dead smile

and no, im not gonna take a hammer to it.

it must die of natural causes.
