standing at the park gates
seeing the dark clouds blossom across the sky
shrouding the sun in murky ink
see the wind bend the trees
hear the voice of the wind running through the leaves
standing at the park gates
new found friends and brothers absent
friends happy voices lost in the absence of silence
standing at the park gates
one hand clutching lead soldier
one hand clutching the memories of friends and brothers
lost to the encroaching dark
dont stand at the park gates little one
friends and brothers gone to play
bad boys dont have friends and brothers
go back home to the darkness that lives there
be silent little one be silent
hush the darkness is calling
yes little one it does hurt
but you know this pain
its an old friend

at the park gates
witness the sun's telling the day's heart to alight
wind greets the trees
who bending welcome the wind's rousing & rustling of their leaves

thru the park gates
heartfelt brothers & happy friends
voices ringing now clamouring
round the newfound presence of tin soldier's reprieves

friend's hands clasping shoulders
who circling welcome friend's carousing & tousling

friends & brothers return to play
back from the homes & the darkness that lives there

yes
it hurts little ones
but remember love
& newfound friends

Ben,

I know it's hard, but you're on the right track my friend. I continue to be amazed by your courage as you talk about these feelings in this forum.

Much love,
Larry
