DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION AGAIN???#%&*@!!!
Another 2 days in Cripple Creek. They were so lonely at that hotel that they were overjoyed to give my wife and I 2 nights in a King room with breakfast both days and one dinner for two for a whole $60 for everything. You think that Motel 6 is cheap you should try Triple Crown Casinos in Cripple Creek. The rooms are new 3 out of 5 star rooms. It is probably nicer than Comfort Inn, maybe as nice as Hampton Inn. Just 90 minutes from the Colorado Springs airport at 9,000 feet elevation in gold-mining country. Try your luck and maybe strike it rich!!!
Catch me Friday afternoon. It's Fall color season here in the Rockies. Photos to follow.
You guys be safe,
Mark

Vacation is over again for another little while. Since I was up about $250 for the 2-days there I bought a half-dozen Christmas gifts on the casino's money and a couple of meals out too. The $5.99 prime rib dinner at Womack's wasn't too bad, and the two-for-one on the high-end strip steak dinner for me and prime rib dinner for my wife ended-up running $30 including a generous tip. Did some high-altitude 4-wheeling too. Nothing like a one-lane dirt shelf road with a 1000 foot vertical dropoff into the tall pines with only a couple feet of clearance on either side. Mt. Herman Road is rated easy by some 4WD association here. There are plenty of other 4WD roads here that are much more difficult. I have some photos that I'll share as soon as I can.
Let's see: I may have to go to Omaha a week from Tuesday, and my wife and I are still talking some private hot-tub resort/romantic getaway in Estes Park in November after their rates come down a bit. We have Thanksgiving plans too.
Thanks for thinking of me,
Mark

Mark,
Last week my partner and I went over Loveland Pass and into Breckenridge for the day. Then on the way back stopped in Central City for a couple free buffets at The Isle of Capri Hotel and Casino. The changing of the Aspens was so awesome to see! I too will upload a few pic's for the guys here. OH, what a blessing it is to live in Colorado!
