I HAVE THERAPY TOMORROW!!!!

Growing up, I never thought that would be something I'd say. Yeah Yeah, thought I could handle it all on my own.

We should all get together and celebrate our therapy appointments. Might as well have a little effing FUN while we're at this.

Be the next to announce your therapy appointment in celebratory fashion and you get a prize!

You know what Brian? I completely hear you there! I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd feel the exact same way about having regular therapy appointments. I love my therapist. I connected with him from the first appt. My appointments are usually on Wednesday so I can't shout out my celebration of joy for my next T appointment until next week.

A quick caveat though, I have had times when I've not wanted to see my T. When I've had some very crappy stuff to talk to him about or he had some icky thing he wanted me to do. But of course, the best things in life for us aren't always pleasant.

I hope you have a great T appt today Brian.

Mike

I'm happy for you Brian!!

Like Mike, I really connected with my therapist too. I just went in and told things that I don't think I'd ever tell anyone else. I told myself to trust in the process and jumped in with both feet off the high dive!! He's been such a life saver.

Go for it (((Brian)))!

Michael

I start mine next Friday. 7 days to go, and 5 days since the appointment was made. Sometimes time seems to go really fast, and others its going sooo slooow. I want it to be now. At the same time I am terrified of what is to come out of it. Last night, while trying to make dinner I felt all of a sudden that I was out of my body looking at myself. I know I was trying to keep busy and not think about my many issues, concerns and fears but the more I tried not to, the more I did. All the "what if's" went whizzing through me like lightening bolts. I've read here that this disociative behaviour is not uncommon but its never happened to me before. I really began to feel like I was loosing my mind. I guess its just a natural anxiety and fear of the unknown. I just want to get better.

I know this thread was supposed to have a happy tone to it, and I am sorry if this brings it down. It was the title of "Friday is Therapy Day" that struck (triggered??) me.

Well I was really wondering who would've claimed the prize but it hasn't been done yet!

Just so you know, contest qualifications are as follows:
- Big Letters
- Minimum of 3 exclamation points
- Must sound genuinely excited even if its fake lol

Ciao!

Muzak therapy! I like it.

You win a C-Directed Art Therapy Image!

It can look like anything you like (unless pornographic)
It can say anything you'd like it to say!

I have Therapy tomorrow!!!

I have not been able to see my T since the 8th of September, so I am happy to see him. Although I am upset that it will be mostly admin issues, hopefully we'll get some work done!
