Since we all know how great Canada is... I just wanted to highlight how Canadians handle the electoral process and how much more pimp it is than the "system" that is used in the USA.

That's provincial, but it works nearly the same on the Federal level too so its all good.

I'd also like to mention that we have something of a "Shotgun Wedding" when it comes to elections. As an example, the US election has been groaning along all year. Meanwhile our Federal election was called in early September and will be signed sealed and delivered on October 14!

Let's just face it, it's the Canadian way.

Haven't seen a good Red Wings game in person since 1975 at old Olympia Stadium against the Flyers. There were 120 penalty minutes and 5 game-misconduct calls, and the Wings won 3-1. There were several bench-clearing brawls. Polonich and Maloney versus Shultz.

Been to a couple of Avs games and even a couple of Kings games in LA in the club seats. This season I'll probably have to follow the Broomfield Rage. It is only $5 for the bleachers in the one end and $8 outside of the blue lines, and club seats are only $25 too. Who cares if it is minor-league?

I have the video from the Chiefs vs Peterborough where there is a big fight before the game even starts too. Saw that movie in 1976 when I lived in Kalamazoo, home of the Kalamazoo Wings.

Who else played for the Leafs back then besides Frank Mahovlich? I just can't remember it has been so long.

My minor hockey team used to go down to Pittsburg every year for a "friendship" tournament. One year I scored two goals in a game and was going to be voted MVP for the tournament, but then a player laughed at me for not getting the hat trick on an easy play so I had to punch him in the head. I was told I was disqualified from the award for not living up to the spirit of the tournament.

Kind of reminds me of a hard night with some MD 20/20 more than a few years back in Kalamazoo. It was kind of my friends to drag me over to the edge of the deck so that I could puke off of the edge. Or another night where I woke up in the driveway with a couple of inches of snow on me after a fifth of 100 proof cheap vodka. I've even been drunk in Canada too, which all of the locals thought was kind of funny.

Did you ever try mixing several different kinds of liquor with some good bud on an empty stomach? I discovered many years ago that if you have one hand on the wall and a foot on the floor that it will make the spins stop. And I recommend loading-up on Excedrin before you pass-out and drinking plenty of water too. When you wake up most likely you won't have a really big headache. And next time that you are in Canada, stay away from the cheap stuff, eh?
