I saw that band once in Cleveland around the time that Sad Wings of Destiny came out. I can't remember if the show was at Public Hall or at Music Hall, but both venues are at opposite ends of the same building in downtown Cleveland. It was also around 1980-81 that my musical tastes began to shift, when I bought Los Angeles by the band X. I first saw Iggy Pop at the West Bloomfield (MI) High School gym in 1975. I have seen all those bands except the Gun Club, though I used to own their album with that tune on it, and I saw both the Circle Jerks and the Dead Kennedy's in different shows at the old Clutch Cargo's in downtown Detroit in 1982. I saw Iggy twice in 81 & 82 also. I also saw U2 at the old Cleveland Agora when they first came out, and it wasn't even sold-out. Nine months later U2 sold-out the old Cleveland Stadium by selling 77,000 tickets.
