My baby girl turned 21 today. It was a good day and she's happy, happy, happy. Mom is too. I ran the movie of her life through my head today and shed a bunch of tears. Joyful ones for the most part, but a few sad ones too. The saddest is that my Mom isn't here today to see her first grand daughter all grown up. *sigh* She would have loved it.

Naturally, after dinner with 12 of her closest friends and me (to pick up the tab \:D ) my CHILD is out at a bar Of course there is a DD, but still............I thought this being a parent thing was supposed to get easier!

That's sweet, Trish. Well, as you say, a tad bittersweet... but she's a Leo, which is always good! (Not that i'm one, or anything *cough*)
Hey- at least you're not picking up the bar tab, too ;-)

Trish,

I remember crossing that milestone with my daughter and only child nearly 4 years ago now with similar thoughts, joys and fears.

Eddie, you got any wine hidden within that box of Kleenex? Maybe we could have a quiet celebration with Trish.
