It's great to see you posting again in the poetry Forum. I really like your perspective on the inner child. You are listening to him, but at the same time you are in charge and telling him you will take him by the hand and show him the way. Very nice! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Your post reminds me of the memorable passage in Alice in Wonderland (or Through the Looking Glass) in which she and the queen run at full speed and then stop. Alice sees they are in the same place, and the queen tells her "Sometimes you have to run at top speed just to remain where you are."
