Awww....turtles are soooo cute.
Once upon a time, quite a few years back, I came a cross a giant turtle on the road. I'm not sure what kind it was. It was green with red markings, and it was obviously tame because it didn't hide when I got out of my work van to go move it to someplace safer.
Oh, I wish I would have kept it. There's no telling what may have happened to it after I put it in the shade of an evergreen tree. The thing that I remember best about it was the way it just kept on trying to walk even after I picked it up off the ground.
I love turtles.
I must congratulate you on saving this one from certain death. It's something to be proud of. May I suggest, given it's luck in finding someone like you as its new owner, the name "Lucky"?
The only other thing I can think of is "Turtle", but you have to pronounce it like Dana Carvey in that one movie.
Turtle.
Turtle.

well it really did have to be said at some point, lol!
Congratulations on the snapping turtle rescue. We don't have those in this country, but I'm always really sad if I here about run over hedgehogs, toads or badgers.

Stimpy is a cool name for a turtle and if that's what the boy wants, then that's what the boy gets! But if it turns out to be a girl *I have no clue how to determine the sex of a turtle - nor do I want to know lol* but if it is, I like Jen's suggestion alot!

How about calling him Soupy, after Soupy Sales?
Or call him Back Road, Trucker, or Road Warrior?

Well...The SelCom has met and made their decision. It would now take a constitutional ammendment to open the issue for reconsideration. Given the 2/3ds of the SelCom are Rugrats, I'd say Stimpy is about the best we'll come up with. GOOD TO SEE YOU SCOTT!!!! By MS Rule 78-15 (c3) you now have to stay for at least 4 days as a result of your visit.
