Woo hoo!! Big storm coming! I love storms!

Feeeel that adrenalin. LOL I'm a storm junkie...if I could get paid to storm chase, I would. lol.

Oh...I don't know Eddie but here's some humor from our weather-geek friends:

Everybody knows about the Fujita Scale which measures the power of tornados. But nobody really knows what all those types of twisters do to COWS. So here is the MOOJITA Scale...

M0 Tornado - Cows in an open field are spun around parallel to the wind flow and become mildly annoyed.
M1 Tornado - Cows are tipped over and can't get up.
M2 Tornado - Cows begin rolling with the wind.
M3 Tornado - Cows tumble and bounce.
M4 Tornado - Cows are AIRBORN.
M5 Tornado - S T E A K ! ! !

MOOOOO!

we had 105kph winds here the other day.
Lost power for like 7 hours or something like that
and my mature maple lost a big branch

Storms are cool. Having grown up in tornado alley, everyone would come outside to watch them as they rolled on in. A concept that is difficult for my wife to understand. She grew up in southern CA, had no prior experience with tornadoes. She is, you might say, a little shocked by the seemingly lack of concern for all of them red cells moving across the atate. As everyone that is use to it, goes on about their business.

She has learned the significance of a wall cloud. LOL

robbie and eddie - the cow-nadoe thing is just wayyy to funny - I can just see that happening here - roflmao

The storm missed us, and it was a good thing too. The high temperature was only 89 yesterday, but the dewpoint was 87. That's miserable tornado-like weather. I prefer the 104 that I felt in Yellowstone last week.

Andy, I'm glad the storm didn't hit you. They are fascinating buggers though aren't they?! I wanted to go on a storm chasing vacation in April for my birthday, but not my b/f, my daughter nor a single one of my friends would have any part of it. Truth be told, I think they look at me a little funny now - oh well.
