Magic fairy dust innocence
More than not wrongdoing
Less than an ineffable something

Seen but never felt

seen in the young child
seen in the retarded adult
seen in perhaps anyone
who poses no threat
yet still can be vulnerable

What is seen, none of us know
yet we believe it can be had
we believe it can be lost
we believe it can be taken away
we believe it is an it

seen in the young child
seen in the retarded adult
seen in perhaps anyone
who can show us ourselves

Blueshift,

Very nice. I like the idea of innocence as something "seen in perhaps anyone who can show us ourselves". A rather complicated idea, if you think about it (which you clearly have). Thanks for sharing this with us.

Much love,
Larry
