I have no musical talent at all. I have learned to apreciate music with my ears not with my hands or mouth.

but today when i got off work one of my friends called asking me if i wanted to go downtown and play some songs on a street corner. I had nothing better to do so i decided to go.

we sang and played guitar, you might be thinking it sounds kinda corny (it was) but it was really fun. most people walked by not really caring. A few walked by and upon hearing songs they knew like The Beatles here comes the son they would smile and sing the words to themselves as they walked past. occasionally people would drop some change into a guitar case. i think seeing the people smile was the best part though.

anyways i thought it was a cool experience worth sharing.

Christopher,

What a cool idea and hey, it's loads better than just hanging around the house watching TV. I'm really glad you got into it. Music is the world's language, after all. And that Beatles tune is one of my favorites too.

Much love,
Larry

Christopher,

I'm so glad that you had a good time singing and playing guitar - music really has a way of getting dep into our soul - it really is so much more than just words - it connects with us on an emmotional level

I love the old Beatles tunes too \:\)

Down on the corner
Out in the street
Willy and the Poorboys are playin'.
Bring a nickel. Tap your feet.

This kind of jam session is way cool. I totally agree. Some of my best times from my younger days involve sitting around a campfire with a couple of guitars singing sing-alongs especially when one of the guitartists is REALLY good and can jam to anything.

Cool story, Christopher. It was easy to visualize the two of you on that street corner getting into this. Try to do it more often, and if possible give us a youtube of it next time. \:\)

Hey Christopher,

What corner were you standing on? Maybe, I'll come down and bend some notes on my mouthharp.

Island jam...!!!

p.s. I went out on a five person canoe today. I'm thinking about putting away the weight set. Grabbing some saltwater sure FEELS like a lot more fun, scenery is a bonus.
