Hmmm, I just got that as well. Maybe the decorators have arrived? I heard nothing about it, though. Personally, I prefer stripes to florals. And bean bag chairs would be cool as well.

I am sorry about not posting a notice that the room would be closed. I was hoping not to close chat but as you all can see it did get closed. Groovy, Mark. Reminds me of the blue crushed velvet bedspread I used to have, along with the green shag carpet that I used to rake.

what's 'duck' tape?

Heck, I have fixed a 120 psi air line with duct tape before, and even made it 10 miles away to a garage. And there used to be this cheap motel over by the truck stop called the Economy Inn. The sign read, From $23.99. From experience the less expensive rooms had more duct tape. It was used to fix the carpet and the bedspreads, cracks in the windows & mirrors and to hold the air-conditioner together. It was even used to tape the smoke detector to the wall. And I have seen it called Duck Tape by one tape manufacturer.

Some artsy-type gal that I used to know down in Brooklyn near Grand Army Circle used to make Astroturf coats in various colors back in the mid 1980s. A friend and I saw her there back then. They were just a little bit pricey.

I remember yellow and orange shag carpet that my parents had in there house back in the seventies. We had to vaccum and then we had rake the stuff. I had forgotten about that until I saw your post. ugliest carpet that I have ever seen. Even Elvis had shag carpet in his house in Memphis.
