Restless, ceaseless, always seaking,
Wordless, heedless, always speaking,
Shiftless, shapeless, always pricking,
Begin! begin! begin!

Tireless, thoughtless, never resting,
Endless, dauntless, ever questing,
nameless, voiceless, ever testing,
nothing! nothing! nothing!

timeless, lightless, yet becoming,
Movless, mindless, yet stil running,
Soundless, rhymeless, yet stil thrumming,
Get up! get up! get up!

worthless, pointless, no fulfilling,
Useless, clueless, there's no willing,
fireless, windless, there's no stilling,
Stop! stop! stop!

Luke,

Really nice again. But here's a thought. What happens to the poem if the order of the verses becomes: 4, 2, 3, 1? Exactly the same text, just different order of the verses.

Much love,
Larry

wow Larry, I'd never noticed that, ---- changing the order it has a totally different (and much more positive), meaning.

what I was actually trying to get at here was a feeling I've had recently. I don't know whether it's due to my medication, but I have days when I'm feeling really energetic, feeling as if I want to start something, but everytime I sit down to do some writing, or music, ---- or even reading in some cases, I get only a few minutes in and it just seems pointless to me, and I end up in this state of being very restless but unable to rest, and very creative but unable to create. That was the state I was trying to put forward here, ---- but I like the alternative version better, a very different message.

So there are feelings which we have to deal with one way or another; we have to make sense of them. But which sense? Exactly the same content can lead to radically different reactions in us depending on where we start emotionally.

If that makes any sense ...

Much love,
Larry

I feel that exact same way sometimes..driven to do something but feeling like it's all futility. That happens to me a lot.
