I say cheese doodle a lot. I don't really know why. As it would turn out, its a real item/product. Cheez Doodles are a cheese-flavored corn snack produced by Wise Foods, Inc. that are similar to Frito-Lay's Cheetos, which debuted several years after Frito-Lay's snack in the 1950's.
Like Cheetos, Cheez Doodles came in many varieties. The currently available versions include:
* Cheez Doodles Puffed - the original baked snack version * Cheez Doodles Puffed White Cheddar * Cheez Doodles Crunchy - the hard, crunchy fried version * Cheez Doodles Crunch, Reduced Fat * Croc-o-Doodles- Crocodile shaped cheese doodle snacks
Wise recently made their Crunchy Cheez Doodles "cheezier." Their less intense cheese flavor has been replaced by a slightly more powerful flavor. The new flavor is much more akin to Cheetos'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheez_DoodlesJust thought I'd share, ~Bri

I'm glad you posted that quote, as for some reason I was under the impression that the new flavor was simply *more* akin to Cheetos'.
It's comforting to realize it is actually *much* more so.

Some guy I knew in Cleveland used to like them many years ago. He used to call them "cheese worms". They were cheap!!!

There's something about them that's almost extra-terrestrially strange. I don't like them but I've eaten them sometimes. Just to make sense of what they are, you know?

I love the Cheez Doodles Crunchy - the hard, crunchy fried version. You have to be willing to walk around with orange fingers for the day though.

arron -- I have never seen the cheez doodle product in my life. Guessing its an American thing??
Like you, we have a full supply of Cheetos then a few other miscellaneous brands like Old Dutch and Hawkins put out their own take on what I know as "Cheesies".
I often find myself saying "Cheese Doodle" and sometimes I even add "Poodle" to it to create "Cheese Doodle Poodle".
Noodles anyone? ~B

Hey, Brian, we have cheese doodles here in Ontario, kind of shocked you don't have them way over there on the other side of the world. They're like jaa say's, they're just cheesies but they're hard and fried.
