Actor Haley Joel Osment was charged with drunk driving and marijuana possession after he crashed his 1996 Saturn station wagon while returning home from a Los Angeles concert in July 2006. The 18-year-old Osment, who starred as the boy who saw dead people in "The Sixth Sense," suffered minor injuries in the accident and was briefly hospitalized. Osment, who posed for a mug shot snapped by an L.A. sheriff's deputy, was released from custody after posting a $15,000 bond.

I always thought the show A.I. was a little creepy.

On my copy of the DVD Stand by Me, there is a clip of some of the actors from the movie appearing on an MTV version of the song with the same name. I don't remember for sure if Feldman or Jerry O'Connell were in that clip, but I know that Phoenix and Will Wheaton both were. When I saw it for the first time, which would have been within the last year, it almost brought tears to my eyes to see young Phoenix so happy and to know that he was probably full of so much pain.

Watching that movie fills me full of emotion. Knowing the pain that at least two of those actors were going through in their day to day lives makes the pain that they portray on the screen that much more real. They were outstanding performances all around.

I have followed the troubles of Brian Bonsall. I think he was a great child actor. Now he is apparently destabilized. He failed to appear for a recent court date in Boulder Colorado and is now a fugitive.

I purchased the dvd of "Father and Scout" and watched it many times as a therapy for my depersonalization disorder. I was severely abused in a scout camp and acquired the depersonalization disorder. Brian was about 12 in the movie, the same age as I was in my trauma. Since I looked something like Brian, It allowed me to revisualize who I was.

Someone reviewed the movie "Father and Scout" for Amazon dot com. I presume it was Bonsall writing under an assumed name. The reviewer identifies himself as MPLS (in the movie Brian was Michael Paley _ Sagat) and says BOB SAGAT IS THE ANTICHRIST "BOB SAGET WANTS TO EAT YOUR CHILDREN - DO NOT SEE HIS MOVIES.

That review has since been withdrawn. I have a copy of it.

Brian made the movie "Mikey" which was so depressing to me I could never watch it. The movie "Blank Check" I think is a fun movie.

If Brian Bonsall should ever read this, please accept my thanks for helping me with my depersonalization disorder.

Thx...Found it...not impressed

We have had previous discussions of Hollywood stuff and their treatment of children and child actors. A previous registrant here on MS actually participated in a ring involved in perping children in the Los Angeles area. (He no longer comes to MS) I was the subject of kiddie porn production near Los Angeles when I was 4-years-old. That was done by employees of the film entertainment industry in Los Angeles. I don't feel at liberty to give the name of the studio and people. It was terribly damaging to me. Among other things, it set up DID in my life.

I have posted several short reviews of movies and their benefits and disadvantages.

I have used movies to further my own healing. Movies which allow me to project my hurting boyhood self into the child actor in the movie are the most healing. They allow me to move the "hurting kid I once was" out of my subconscious into the realm of 2009 and the present day. I particularly used 3-D movies to help with my eye condition of strabismus and the associated dissociation. The movie Spy Kids 3-D was the best one for this purpose.

Recently I was watching a rented dvd of The Departed with Jack Nicholson playing the villain Frank Costello in the scene about Boston's corrupt gangland. I was very much angered by a statement made by Nicholson: "It comes up faster than a 12-year-old's dick." The question is: How would he know?

I didn't finish watching that move. I re-packaged it and returned it to the rental company.
