Where do you go, when there's no place to go
Who will you talk to; who will you know
Who will you tell when you're being'a in pain
When everyone's left you, will no one remain
Who will you talk into holding you tight
Who will be there when you cry through the night
Who will you call, if you pick up the phone
Will they know you are lonely; care you're alone
How can you tell them that you're four years old
In an ancient man's body, your bones growing cold
That you're daddy just hurt you five minutes ago
In a world in which time seems to move to and fro
Sit in your rocker and rock time away
In the dead of the night, 'till the dawn of the day
Then get up and be who they need you to be
And wonder why no one is able to see
That the man they once knew isn't there any more
Cannot be the man who existed before
His eyes have been opened and now he can see
The boy who was injured; the man he should be
His being a prison with no bars in sight
A place of denial, depression and fright
He understands, now, all that happened before
But what good is freedom? He can't find the door
Will you come and sit with me, when I'm alone
Will you share with me of the life you have known
Come sit here and be with this tired old man
I'm so, so alone. Just be here. Understand.

I remember that feeling. Okay yeah, I'm a good person ... it wasn't my fault ... I'm not alone. I get it, really I do.

Now what?

Maybe we should talk about that sometime.

Much love,
Larry
