I've tried to change my avatar recently and many other times b4. In each instance, the change takes a while to go thru. Yesterday, I tried a change twice that still has not been realized. Any idea wasup wit dat?

I've had the same thing happen.

Apparently "they" don't let a change go through unless they check it visually first.

Guys,

As far as I know there's not a problem with avatar change. I just did mine briefly and it worked fine. No one is pre-approving avatars prior to allowing them.

The difficulty may well be in the browser being used. Some browsers don't work well with the MS site software. For those of us who use a Mac, Safari is notably bad. IE can also have some issues. Firefox seems to work best, but even with it there are some problems.

hold your shift key and press refresh (shortcut key is usually F5).

this will reset the cached items for this domain and let you see your new avatar immediately.

In my photo editing program I have a red eye fixer.

You apparently need a white eye fixer.

They're "children of the corn" ( a Steven King movie) they ate too much corn and it turned their eyes yellow!lol

One thing I would add for those who make their own avatars, I found that if I make a change to my avatar without then renaming the file, the change I made won't appear when I upload it..I suppose because the computer assumes that if it has the same name it can just reuse the same data it had before the change was made. So always rename after any changes so you can upload the changes.
